Dark Land - SMB3

Super Mario Bros. 3 – Land 8 - Dark Land

This is a minimalist interpretation of the 8th land, Dark Land, in Super Mario Bros. 3 for the NES.

Now you may be thinking to yourself, I got the red water / hot lava right and the dark sky, and the dark hills, but thinking… “Mushrooms? There are no mushrooms in Dark Land….” Yes there is, in the last part of the Dark Land (in the same part where you can see Bowser’s Castle) there are four mushrooms in a row. Now none of these mushrooms actually are in any of the levels. They can only been seen on the over world map and there are only four of them in the entire game. I had to use those four mushrooms because they where so intriguing to me, and I did not want to make Bowser's Castle but showing those mushrooms means that bowsers castle is near by…
